Contest Rules & Information 

The Resource Conservation District Poster Contest provides students ten years old and younger the chance to have their art displayed as part of a tri-county conservation outreach initiative to help support the Monarch Butterfly.  This year, the winning posters will have the chance to win a tablet and a variety of monarch-themed art prizes!  The contest starts at the county level; winners will advance to the tri-county level.

Contest Rules

  • Any media can be used, including paint, crayon, colored pencil, stickers, paper or other materials. 
  • All posters must be created by an individual kiddo, rather than a team.
  • Each entry for the contest must be submitted to Yuba, Sutter or Colusa County Resource Conservation District with an entry form (below) to be eligible for judging. The form must be signed by a parent or guardian.
  • All artwork must be entered by August 13th, winners will be contacted by August 20th. 

Entries will be reviewed based upon the following criteria:

  • Conservation Message (40%)
  • Visual Effectiveness (20%)
  • Originality (20%)
  • Universal Appeal (20%)
