“SWEEP” The State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program and Hub event are particularly relevant to our current water shortage as we encourage our community to conserve and reduce our ground and surface water.
We are working closely with farmers who have farmed using outdated and inefficient irrigation methods and are educating them on ways to conserve and reduce the use of water. We have had farmers reach out to us to get funding through the CDFA program which provides aid to help switch their irrigation from flood to micro or drip irrigation, installation of renewable energy to run their irrigation wells, and much more.
