WCB/CARCD Habitat Restoration and Carbon Farm Plan Implementaion 

The Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) the California Association of Resource Conservation (CARCD), collaborated with the Sutter County Resource Conservation District (SCRCD) was approved to receive funding from the Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) for habitat restoration and carbon farm plan implementation across the state. 

The 231-acre project area extends along the west side of the Feather River including the levee and lands between the levee and rive from the Yuba City Boat Launch down up to the south end of the Shanghai Bend. This land is owned by the Sutter County and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The level is managed and maintained by Sutter County Levee District 1.

An online survey was posted to get the interestes and concerns regarding this area and this project. About 200 people participated in this survey with some very valuable input that can help us proceed with this project. 

As more information is available regarding this project and the project status we will keep this website updated.
